
New York (That Happened!) - Jennifer Hudson and her family finally had their chance to say good-bye to their family members that were brutally murdered on October 24th in her mother’s home in Chicago.
The private, invitation only, memorial service was held yesterday at a South Side Church.
During the three-hour service, American Idol” winner Fantasia Barrino sang a gospel song, and Chicago Mayer Richard Daley spoke as did the Reverend Jesse Jackson.
The Chicago Tribune reports that the composed Jennifer Hudson spent a few minutes at the caskets of her brother and nephew and then went to her mothers and bent down and kissed her saying her final good-bye.
This private service comes the day after a public memorial service was held for Darnell, 57, Jason, 29 and Julian, 7.
They will all be buried along side each other at Oak Woods Cemetery on the South Side of Chicago.
