Jennifer Aniston and Brad Pitt had a record breaking Christmas.
Jen’s feel-good film Marley and Me topped the box office with $14.8 million making it the highest Christmas day opening ever.
Brad was hot on her heels though. His film The Curious Case Of Benjamin Button took the record for 2nd highest opening with $11.8 million.
In Variety, Paramount vice chair Rob Moore stated: “The fact that so many movies did so well was very encouraging to everyone in terms of the health of the theatrical market.”
Variety.com reports that both films exceeded box office expectations by 40 to 50%.
Pitt and Aniston who met on a dinner date in 1998, split in 2005.
