It is the time of year when all the new wives and girlfriends (and lots of men too!!!) are learning the age old tradition of cooking the Thanksgiving turkey.

There are hundreds of different techniques that are guaranteed to either make your guest mouths water or make them beg for a glass of water. You can purchase turkeys that are pre-basted and can help insure you have a juicy turkey.

Cooking a turkey is really not that big of a deal. The meat is naturally dry, so there are a few tricks that can be used to moisten it up. The oven bags are wonderful little inventions that have helped millions of first time turkey cookers. These cook the turkey fairly quick, and keep the juices inside. The trick is adding lots of celery to the bag, this provides extra moisture.

The traditional method of cooking the turkey over a long period can also work. It does require a lot of effort, and you do run the risk of drying the meat out. Put a foil hood over the turkey to trap in as much moisture as possible. Never put stuffing into a raw turkey, it does not add any flavor that is worth dying for.

As the nation digs itself out of this recent recession, the country’s largest retailers have jumped the gun and decided to roll out their Black Friday deals before Black Friday itself in an attempt to bolster poor sales. Black Friday is the biggest shopping day of the year as millions wake up early the day after Thanksgiving to kick off the Christmas shopping season in search of phenomenal deals on the year’s hottest items.

The results of the studies were published on November 3 by the Cancer Epidemiology, Biomarkers & Prevention, a journal of the American Association for Cancer Research. The studies included almost 30,000 men, over a period of 18 years. It is the most extensive study of its kind.

Dr. Elizabeth Platz, a research leader at the John Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health in Baltimore, stated, “For many reasons, we know that it’s good to have a cholesterol level within the normal range. Now, we have more evidence that among the benefits of low cholesterol may be a lower risk for potentially deadly prostate cancers”.

Dr. Demetrius Albanes, a senior investigator at the National Cancer Institute, also stated, “In terms of a public health message, we found that higher levels of ‘good’ cholesterol seem to be protective for all cancers”.

These studies are not conclusive and more research must be done. Yet, there is no doubt that low cholesterol levels reap great health benefits.

Because she didn’t learn her lesson the first time naked photos of her leaked, High School Musical sweetheart Vanessa Hudgens is in more hot water after another set of risque pics surfaced online yesterday.

According to Perez Hilton, Hudgens’ attorney, who may or may not be Mickey Mouse, asked the blogger to remove the photos from his site, claiming they were taken when the actress was underage. Just like the nude pics of Vanessa that leaked two years ago.

Hudgens is currently promoting her upcoming film, Bandslam, which opens August 14th. As far as we know, she keeps her clothes on in this one…

She is not intimidated by the male dominate sports world, and knows how to report a great story. Unfortunately, she has been stalked and the footage has been posted all over the internet. This young reporter is a victim of a peeping Tom, who had allegedly video taped her in naked in her room, without her knowledge.

The fact that this footage has been taken is not the most disturbing part. It has been posted on the website and now when you search for most recent stories, her name pops up. Many people are inquisitive to see what the video is of, but do not jump online to view it, as this could be a huge mistake. Hackers have taken over the situation, and some sites where you find her name, you may be getting a virus into your computer.

Erin Andrews private life was invaded, and it looks like the peeping tom is still out there. It is now just another video posted on popular websites such as you tube. With all the technology out there, it is possible for anyone to make a improper video, and not be punished for it.

It appears that the former Ghost Star will not be taking on his character of the 1990 blockbuster hit so soon, as he fights hard to battle his pancreatic cancer, one of the most deadly types of cancer with usual little life time left for patents from the time of diagnosis since it is often not found until its final stages. The pinpoint, advanced radiotherapy system that is reportedly treating him does not have the side-effects of many other cancer therapies, and pain and relief of other symptoms is much faster.

He remains constantly hooked up to the portable pain relief system so it is no wonder that he is looking so much healthier than he was when he was last photographed for the public about three months ago. This does not necessarily mean that the cancer itself is no longer as much a threat to his life, however, and though he looks healthier, there have also been reports that the cancer may have spread further. Seen smoking cigarettes, not a choice that is a healthy one or helpful to the recuperation process, it leads one to wonder whether he knows a fairly imminent death is inevitable, and it won’t make any difference so he may as well enjoy himself.

Although it may not be up to par with Paris Hilton’s video release, ESPN is dealing with its own scandal today. Apparently, 31 year old ESPN sideline reporter Erin Andrews has been shown in a hotel room video that internet viewers are looking for in astounding numbers.

The video portrays Andrews in a hotel room, location which has not yet been verified, getting ready for her day. The only released information about the video so far is that it was taken without her consent by someone video taping her activities through a peephole in a neighboring hotel room. It is not yet known if there will be charges pressed against the individual and the hotel.

This is the second blow this reporter has taken this month, the first one occurring earlier in the month when she was hit in the face with a ball while reporting from Yankee Stadium. Fortunately, she was only bruised and shaken up.

As for the release of this peephole video, there is no telling yet how ESPN is going to respond. Having exposure of this nature can have a positive or negative effect on a person’s career, but surely ESPN is going to have to release at least some statement regarding this issue.

Don’t worry though, because this blonde hottie from Maine has a lot going for her, so even if ESPN decides not to renew her contract, I am sure that she will find a way to reinvent herself especially in light of the attention she is currently receiving.

Here we go again — another celebrity who supposedly filmed herself having sex.

This time, Gossip Girl star Leighton Meester is the … ahem … face behind the flick. Celebrity gossip site TMZ.com reports the tape is a few years old and features a nude Meester with her boyfriend … and her “very talented feet.”

Supposedly the tape is being shopped around, with the leading buyer being a company called celebhotline.com. The company’s spokesperson told TMZ that he had seen the tape and was hoping to “close the deal.”

At 23 years old, Meester is an up-and-coming actress. Before starring as Blair Waldorf on CW’s Gossip Girl, she had notable roles on Entourage (as a virgin teen popstar), House (as a patient in love with Dr. Gregory House), 24, Veronica Mars and Shark.

The star is also working on the upcoming film Date Night, starring Tina Fey and Steve Carell, and has an album ready to launch this fall (the first single will be released next month).

TV Guide Canada interviewed Meester at the Four Seasons Hotel in Toronto when Gossip Girl launched, and she could walk around freely, grabbing snacks from the goody table and nonchalantly roaming the rooms waiting for her interviews to start.

In what is now a two year war against what doctors have termed the “terrorists” that have invaded her body and are attempting to destroy her life, Ms Fawcett has traveled to Germany various times and has tried many types of different treatments in an attempt to beat the disease.

In what is an extraordinary display of inner strength, Ms. Fawcett, with the help of friends and family is creating a video documentary of her life. It shows the roller coaster ride that battling cancer is and even the most intimate of moments are there for all to see.

Ms. Fawcett has said that there are various reasons why she has decided to film her struggle, with the most important reasons being to show the world how difficult a journey it is, but and perhaps more importantly, to highlight the problems in American health care, where a treatment that costs around $500.00 in Germany is closer to $5,000.00 in the US.

The documentary aired recently and it proved to be very informative as well as incredibly heart-wrenching to watch at moments. One can not help but be touched by the sheer strength and beauty that is Ms. Fawcett.
