In one week, the single rose at a record pace - from #96 to the top spot on Billboard’s Hot 100.

“Womanizer” broke another record after being downloaded 286,000 times, making it the biggest opening week for any female artist.

Spears, 28, is expected to announce details of a world tour, to kick off in spring 2009.

‘Circus’ is the follow-up album to 2007’s ‘Blackout’.
