Los Angeles - A doctor named Alan Bittner turned human fat from his patients into fuel for his car. The doctor is a liposuction specialist in Beverly Hills California. He used his fuel in his sport utility vehicle and his girlfriend’s Lincoln Navigator.
The problem with this is that it is illegal in California to use medical waste to power vehicles. This means that the doctor is making his fuel illegally so he could face legal action for doing this.
Many of the doctor’s patients said that he could use their fat to make his fuel. He has a big supply of fat now. However there could be effects from using fat that is being burned since it is medical waste and it does come from the body.
About eighty four of Doctor’s Bittner’s patients have filed complaints against him. These complaints have caused the local medical department to review Doctor Bittner’s actions.
Doctor Bittner should not have violated the law by making the fuel from the fat of his patients. Medical waste needs to be handled carefully because it has blood and germs from patients in it. There are strict protocols for handling and disposing of medical waste. Doctor Bittner did not follow these protocols and instead used medical waste for his own purposes.
We need to be more environmentally friendly but we also need to act responsibly and follow the law. The Doctor should stop collecting fat from his patients and stop using the fuel. We do not know what the fuel fumes may emit into the air.
