New York - The state of healthcare has been in turmoil for quite some time now. Nothing covers everything and everything cost too much. However, the president elect, Barack Obama has proposed a complete over haul of our healthcare system.
Beginning in his term, he has appointed a representative to handle the health dilemma that we are facing. Tom Daschle will oversee these reforms set in place by Obama.
Mr. Obama has even added a new office to the white house: health reform. It has given Americans hope in the crisis we are facing. At this point in time, there are many who forgo the treatment they need because it is not covered on their insurance and one of the main problems is the fact that current ongoing treatments and past illnesses are not covered by new insurance.
The hope of the President Elect is to give new meaning to the word healthcare.
One that is not looked on in consternation, or veiled contempt. The goal is that if we all get together and fight for this we will come through in the end, so says Daschle. The question is how long will this take? For something to haven been so bad for so long, there is quite a bit of work ahead of us.
Do we, as American have that time? What do we do about the people who need that help now and are not receiving it? We can only hope that the ace Obama has up his sleeve is a good one.
