New York - Apple plans to have the Worldwide Developers Conference or WWDC on June 8-12-2009 in San Francisco at the Moscone Center West.

This year Apple will center on the Mac OS X and the iPhone.

There are several rumors on what will happen on the day of the Worldwide Developers Conference.

One of them being the return of Steve Jobs, who is the Chairman and CEO of Apple Inc. On January 14, 2009, Jobs announce his six months leave of absence due to his health reason and Tim Cook became the acting CEO during his absence.

Silicon Valley Insider’s Dan Frommer suspects that Jobs might announce his retirement because he is not taking part in the planning and executing of the Conference.

There is no question that Jobs’s sudden appearance at the Conference will spark the presence of the mass of Apple fans who welcome his return to the Apple world.

Yet, there is reasonable doubt that Jobs might use the conference as an opportunity to announce his retirement in contrast to Apple fans’s hopes of a surprise comeback.

In this year’s Worldwide Developers Conference, there will be a new Quicktime which will have virtual playback controls and the Mac OS X will have a Snow Leopard visual theme.

However, there are rumors that Apple has another interface Code-named “Marble”.

Either way, Apple is upgrading its platinum look to a darker chrome one. As for the Iphone OS 3.0, not much information on it besides it being rumored to appear at the Conference.
